Bob and Kathy had lived in their home for a while and knew it was time for a change; however, they did not want the stress or extra expenses that come with moving, so they decided to remodel. On the main level, they wanted to update their kitchen and foyer and make them feel bigger. They wanted to better use the space they had so it would be more enjoyable for them every day and be a great space to entertain. We worked with CocoBello Interiors on this project to bring a new and updated feel to Kathy and Bob's kitchen and home.
To make the kitchen feel bigger, we moved an exposed center beam into the ceiling and removed the soffits. We also moved some of the interior walls to open up more space in the kitchen. To update the kitchen, we put in Vicostone Botticino Quartz countertops, and installed a handmade artisan tile backsplash from Mercury Mosaics. The focal point of the tile quickly became the colorful scalloped tile that extended to the ceiling behind the range hood.
We also installed custom wood cabinets that included a full lighted pantry and a lighted coffee nook. The coffee nook added a piece of modern elegance to the kitchen and was an extra touch that reflected the client’s personality. To update and open up the space even more, we extended out the foyer and added a new closet, sitting area, and heated tile floor, along with built and installed a custom dining room hutch.
